I would like to begin today by acknowledging the Gadigal and Bidjigal people,
the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I am presenting from. I pay my respects to their
Elders past and present and extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander present here today.

The decrease in the area of industrial space between 2007 and 2012.

ARTISTICEXPRESSION
Over a 10-year period, the FES Floor Space and Employment Survey found an overall reduction in the supply of space used for creative industries within the City area, a decline of more than 100,000m2 (City of Sydney, 2017).

How can the process of Brownfield Remediation and integration of site-specific Urban Art Gallery Spaces dictate the larger Urban Development Program and establish a new Cultural Landscape for the future of The Bays?

“With
the introduction of a different - that is, alien - culture, a rejuvenation of the cultural landscape sets in, or a new landscape is superimposed on the remnants of an older one”
