INTERCOLLEGIATE COMPETITION
University of St. Francis is a Catholic, Franciscan university with 440 student athletes who are leaders on the field, in the classroom and in the community. USF has produced more than 90 NAIA All-Americans and its teams have made more than 60 national tournament appearances. USF’s student-athletes consistently earn a cumulative grade point average greater than 3.0. Service projects held throughout the year provide them with ways to serve others and give back to the greater Joliet community.
The USF Fighting Saints athletics program includes 19 sports teams competing in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and other Chicagoland and Midwestern conferences and associations.
STUDENT FITNESS
With a USFstudent ID, all students are provided with a free membership to the Inwood Athletic Club, located just 3.5 miles from main campus. It features a fitness floor, indoor track, pool, steam rooms, whirlpools and a juice bar. Group fitness classes are held daily. On campus, all students are welcome to use the fitness center in the Pat Sullivan Center, featuring a variety of weight and cardio equipment and locker room facilities.
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
• The Pat Sullivan Recreation Center, located on USF’s main campus, houses the Pat Quigley Court—home to USF basketball and volleyball.
• Joliet Memorial Stadium, located at the Joliet Park District’s Inwood Athletic Complex, is home to USF football, soccer and track. The softball complex there is the home turf of USF softball.
• Joliet Park District’s Inwood, Wedgewood and Woodruff golf courses are where USF golfers practice and compete.
• Duly Health & Care Field in downtown Joliet is a premier minor league baseball park where USF’s baseball team also plays.
• Lockport park district’s Challenge Fitness features indoor/outdoor tennis courts for the tennis team.
