Smilow Cancer Hospital Gynecologic Oncology Expertise in Fairfield County

Smilow Cancer Hospital Gynecologic Oncology expertise is available in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Greenwich, and Trumbull, bringing together a team of clinicians whose focus is to care for women with gynecologic cancers.

Our gynecologic oncologists are boardcertified in obstetrics and gynecology, with a subspecialty of gynecologic oncology, uniting surgery and oncologic care to treat patients. They collaborate closely with our medical oncologist, and radiation oncologists, to provide specialized care for women diagnosed with vulvar, vaginal, cervical, uterine, fallopian tube, or ovarian cancers.

Dr. Elena Ratner, along with Physician Assistant, Johanna D’Addario, oversee the Sexuality, Intimacy & Menopause (SIM) Clinic. Clinical trials are available locally to patients through Yale Cancer Center, Connecticut’s only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.

Together, with leadership from Dr. Ratner, who is also professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences and cochief of the Section of Gynecologic Oncology, they ensure that all patients diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer in Fairfield County are provided with exceptional care from an experienced team.
